Altarina; The Competition Begins

Here in DB, Bosconians have a tradition of Making an Altarina for The Blessed Virgin Mary every October (Which they call the Marian and Mission Month). And in every competition we usually see people running here and there for the flowers. Advisers peeking into other section's Altarina by pretending to pass by and gives out sassy remarks about how awful or how beautiful it is. We also sight Copy Cats and Insecure Designers, some desperate and some are hopeless. Even though we join the Contest out of love for our Heavenly Queen Mother the true meaning of the contest is lost because of pride and hunger for the prize. But what the heck, It's really fun to judge the altarina from disgusting to okay, okay to excellent. As of this year, most of the promising designers had already left the walls of the institution so we can prettily expect a lesser sparkly competition this October. But even if the remaining designers arent the brightest bulbs, we can still hope for an outstanding altarina coming from the 4th years (which still has talents to offer) or the First yrs. (which talents are about to shine... or die out). I'll be updated by whats in and whats out this year.

ALTARINA designed by Ellis Manuel Mendez, isn't it just gorgeous?
